Benson's first trip to Texas (April 10-13)

While I was still out on maternity leave Brian was "on the bench" for a couple weeks. This basically means that he is between contracts and therefore "working from home." So, we did what anyone would do - we took off for an impromptu vacation in Texas. It would be Benson's first trip to Texas. We were very excited.

First stop - family photo. This is taken at the first rest stop after crossing the border (I-35 from Oklahoma). We felt confident that someone would offer to take the photo since we were in Texas. To our surprise the first lady that asked had a Jayhawk sweatshirt on!

We spent a couple of days in Arlington visiting my family. Jamyn, Abigial, and Colin came over to play and the kids had a great time. Grammy showed them how to clean the pool filter and Grandad gave rides on the dolly.

We were then off to Temple for a while to visit Brian's family. It is always fun seeing Kailey and Grant together because they are so close in age.

It was a fun extended weekend - too bad we had to go back!
